We welcome you to join us at
First Christian Church of Independence.

The church has a rich history, a faithful congregation, a bright future and a wonderful community which is open to family, faith, service and sharing.

Senior minister for the congregation is Rev. Amy Lignitz Harken, who was called to the church in November 2005. Read recent newsletter columns from Amy. She is a great preacher, a wonderful teacher and a gentle guiding spirit in our congregation. She has told us repeatedly: The doors of the church are always open.

We are: Open to God. Open to the spirit. Open to our community. Open to you.  Our intention, as a community of faith, is to be Guided by God.
